Good manual, great "tool" for any DIY repairs.

Bought this for installing the upper and lower torque mounts on a 04 Neon for a good friend, then whatever else comes up on the car. Even though I could have pulled it off without the manual, I wanted to know that i had the exact torque values on each engine mount and was glad I bought it and well worth the extra clams to get the book. There is also a "torque strut adjustment procedure" to follow before final tightening and torqueing on the strut mounts which is in the manual. Easy to do, but important as it tilts the engine properly. Now the Haynes will be good reference when needed on other repairs. I've had Haynes and Chilton manuals for differnt cars for DIY repairs and both are good, each with their own style differences. Regardless of the manual's brand, don't skip buying one of these to help you out. Having the manufacturer's torque values along with a fairly accurate to precisely accurate torque wrench are both important so you don't over tighten or under tighten bolts that are important to get right.

Cheaper than a mechanic

I started out fixing my first car at age 16, knowing nothing about mechanic work. I started out with a Chilton's but since then I have preferred Haynes as they don't try to cover so many vehicles in one book. Pretty much anyone with a positive attitude can follow the instructions step by step and do pretty well. Most recently, I changed a head gasket in 2 hours for $150, the garage wants upwards to $1000. Youtube makes a good supplement now too, videos on how to do anything.

Helps save money

As some will learn, to have a repair manual for the vehicle you own can be a life saver. I have use this one to repair a clutch cylinder system, the breaks and different seals and other parts of the front end to my 2004 neon 2.0
I have a manual to every vehicle that I own so I can tell if its something I can so or if its something I need to take in and spend the money.
